Job summary

Riverview Post Acute is seeking a dependable Laundry Aide to maintain clean linen and clothing for residents. You will sort, wash, dry, and fold items, label new clothing, and deliver clean laundry to resident rooms, while following all sanitary procedures.

The role requires basic math, reading directions, and problem-solving skills. GED or high school diploma is preferred, with about 1 year of experience in laundry or housekeeping.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma preferred or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in laundry/housekeeping preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Make available a quantity of clean linen for proper care and comfort of all residents.
• Maintain all linen in good repair and remove from service any linen with holes or stains.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new resident’s clothing items as needed.
• Sort, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms.
• Follow all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies.
• Use all laundry equipment and supplies in a safe manner.
• Report laundry equipment issues to the Administrator.
