Job summary

(Waverly Hills Post Acute) Waverly SNF Healthcare, LLC is seeking a laundry/housekeeping associate to support nursing home operations. You will ensure clean linen supply, sort and launder items, and deliver laundry to resident rooms, all while maintaining sanitary conditions.

The role requires basic math, ability to follow directions and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on safety and reliability in a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma required; 1 year of experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry/housekeeping procedures.
• Basic math skills required.
• Reasoning ability to solve problems and seek guidance when needed.

Responsibilities

• Make available a quantity of clean linen for the residents’ care and comfort.
• Maintain linen in good repair; remove holes or stained items from service.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new resident clothing items as needed.
• Sort, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms.
• Follow all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies.
• Use laundry equipment and supplies safely.
