You will prepare nutritious meals tailored to resident dietary needs, follow physician orders, and maintain high kitchen standards to support resident well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current ServSafe Food Handler or Food Protection certification (or ability to obtain).
• Experience in healthcare, long-term care, or a commercial kitchen preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing outstanding service to residents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious meals per physician orders, therapeutic menus, and standardized recipes.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule while maintaining high quality.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
• Properly store, label, and rotate food items to maintain freshness and compliance.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen, prep areas, and equipment.
• Work collaboratively with the Dietary Manager and team to provide an exceptional dining experience for residents.
• Assist with inventory management and notify leadership when supplies need replenishing.
• Comply with all federal, state, local, and facility dietary regulations.

What You'll Do
