Job summary

Plymouth Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is seeking a 40-hour Cook to join our care team. You will prepare and plate meals for residents, ensuring therapeutic diets are followed and meals are visually appealing. Qualifications

• Prior culinary experience required.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions and work harmoniously with staff, residents and families.
• Knowledge of dining service procedures and related laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Leadership ability and willingness to supervise personnel.
• Patience, tact, and enthusiasm when interacting with residents and colleagues.
• Maintain care and use of supplies, equipment and work areas.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and plate resident meals according to physician orders and therapeutic diets.
• Maintain proper serving temperatures and visual appeal of meals.
• Monitor nourishments, follow recipes, and comply with sanitation/storage policies.
• Keep kitchen clean and organized, follow regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families and colleagues.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Dining Services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare, cook, and plate resident meals in accordance with therapeutic diets ordered by physicians
• Ensure the proper serving temperature of food and maintain its visual appeal
• Monitor daily nourishments, follow standardized recipes, and adhere to sanitation and storage policies
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with residents, families, and colleagues
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Dining Services

Requirements:
