Job summary

Aperion Care in Chicago, IL is seeking a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator to lead daily operations, ensuring compliance with federal and local standards and delivering the highest quality care for residents.

The administrator will supervise departments, develop and enforce policies, monitor safety and infection control, manage budgets, and support staff through training, performance reviews, and corrective actions. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health Administration or Business Administration or health related degree preferred.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active Nursing Home Administrator license.
• 2 years experience in a Supervisor role; healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of reimbursement regulations, nursing practices and procedures, and related laws and guidelines for nursing facility administration.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to read and interpret financial records and reports.
• Ability to communicate policies, procedures, regulations, and reports to staff, residents, families, and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day operations of the facility in accordance with federal and local standards and regulations to ensure high-quality resident care.
• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the facility’s programs and activities per governing board guidelines.
• Assist in developing departmental policies and procedures and professional standards of practice.
• Ensure adherence to facility policies by employees, residents, visitors, and the public.
• Lead staff meetings during inspections; discuss survey findings and corrective plans.
• Develop and monitor plans of correction to address deficiencies and prevent recurrence.
• Review workforce competence and make necessary adjustments.
• Assist in recruitment and selection of department directors and staff.
• Counsel/discipline personnel as needed and appropriate.
• Consult with department directors to improve services and operations.
• Coordinate in-service training and orientation programs to ensure current materials are provided.
• Create an atmosphere of warmth, safety, and calm throughout the facility.
• Ensure physician compliance with policies; report issues to Medical Director.
• Maintain safety regulations, infection control, and fire safety within the facility.
• Review incident reports and monitor risk management effectiveness.
• Maintain clean, safe resident environments and necessary equipment.
