Job summary

Grand Canyon University is seeking a Foundations Lab/Clinical Nursing Faculty Member to join the College of Nursing and Healthcare Professionals in Lake Mary, FL. This full-time role focuses on reinforcing didactic content and applying knowledge in clinical and lab settings for pre-licensure nursing students.

You will collaborate with faculty to evaluate student progress, participate in grading, and maintain alignment with accreditation standards while supporting students and partners in

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) required.
• Unencumbered Florida RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce didactic content and teach in the context of clinical and lab application of knowledge and skills related to pre licensure Nursing.
• Collaborates with content area faculty to provide evaluation and documentation of student progress toward clinical and lab objectives.
• Participate in grading written and Clinical/Lab performance check-offs.
• Preserve lines of communication with program faculty and director including attendance in select faculty meetings.
• Remain current with new trends and development in nursing practice.
• Maintain compliance with requirements for program accreditation.
• Uphold the tenets of nursing as a holistic profession as well as the pillars of the University.
• Requires travel to student clinical sites to directly observe student performance.
