Job summary

McLaren Health Care, headquartered in Grand Blanc, Michigan, is seeking a Patient Safety Associate for its Nursing Float Pool. Under RN supervision, you will provide close observation of at-risk patients, assist with activities of daily living, and help maintain a safe, clean environment while supporting the care team.

Responsibilities include charting, reporting changes to the RN, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a nursing assistant program.
• One year related experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtains verbal report from the patient’s nurse.
• Maintains constant visual observation of the patient.
• Follows nurse instructions for ambulation/re-direction.
• Accompanies patient for tests and procedures.
• Provides for patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction.
• Works cooperatively as a team member and responds to unit needs.
• Communicates professionally with patients and families.
• Records data accurately and notifies RN of untoward events.
• Performs other related duties as required.
