Job summary

Prime Healthcare Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the Nursing Float team. This full-time night position includes 6:45p - 7:15a shifts across 3-12 hour blocks, working under the supervision of the RN in charge of the unit.

The role involves assisting with activities of daily living, basic nursing care, and maintaining a safe environment; BLS within 30 days is required, with CNA certification and related credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), State approved Certification required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Provides basic nursing care to all patients under RN supervision.
• Maintains a safe environment on the unit as directed by the RN.
