Job summary

Prime Healthcare Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for Nursing Float. The role involves assisting patients with daily activities and providing basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

This full-time night position operates 3-12 hour shifts with 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM scheduling. Educational and certification requirements include CNA certification and a minimum of six months acute care experience; preferred phlebotomy, EKG, and BLS

Qualifications

• Requires CNA certification and High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Phlebotomy and EKG certifications.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living and basic nursing care.
• Supports in maintaining a safe environment under RN supervision.
