Job summary

Tidewater Community College seeks a full‑time Nursing Faculty member to teach across nursing disciplines in a dynamic South Hampton Roads campus community. The role emphasizes classroom and clinical instruction, advising, and curriculum development to support student learning outcomes.

The candidate will engage students through lectures, laboratories, and online activities, providing timely feedback and fostering professional growth.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Current, unencumbered license as a registered nurse in Virginia.
• Minimum of two years of direct client care experience as a registered nurse.
• Experience in Medical‑Surgical, Critical Care, Cardiac, or Stepdown nursing.

Responsibilities

• Teach in a classroom and/or online environment to students with diverse backgrounds.
• Plan, organize, teach, and provide feedback to promote learning outcomes.
• Engage students outside class and provide timely feedback on mastery of outcomes.
• Develop curriculum and collaborate with colleagues on resources and program activities.
• Maintain currency in the nursing discipline and use technology effectively.
