Job summary

Grand Canyon University in Miramar, FL, is seeking a full-time Lab/Clinical Nursing Faculty to support Med/Surg clinical instruction and student evaluation using modern teaching methodologies and technologies. The role involves direct and indirect instruction, collaboration with other faculty, and travel to student clinical sites as needed.

Requirements include an MSN, an active FL RN or compact license, and at least 2 years of recent medical/surgical nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) required.
• Active FL RN license or compact state license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of medical/surgical nursing experience within the last two years.
• Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with students and preceptors.

Responsibilities

• Reinforces didactic content in the context of clinical and lab application.
• Collaborates with faculty to document student progress toward objectives.
• Participates in grading written and Clinical/Lab performance check-offs.
• Maintains compliance with accreditation requirements.
• Travels to student clinical sites to observe performance.
