Job summary

Grand Canyon University in Miramar, FL is seeking a Lab/Clinical Nursing Faculty in Critical Care to reinforce didactic content and teach in clinical and lab settings for pre licensure nursing students.

You will collaborate with content-area faculty, participate in grading, and ensure progress toward clinical objectives while staying current with industry trends and accreditation requirements.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ ICU/Acute Care nursing experience within the last two years.
• Active and unencumbered RN license in Florida (or compact state).
• Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred.
• Evidence of professional involvement (memberships, presentations, research, publications).

Responsibilities

• Reinforces didactic content and teaches in clinical and lab settings.
• Collaborates with content-area faculty to evaluate and document student progress toward clinical objectives.
• Participates in grading written and clinical/lab performance check-offs.
• Maintains communication with program faculty and director, attends select faculty meetings.
• Stays current with trends in nursing practice and accreditation requirements.
• Travels to student clinical sites to observe performance.
