Job summary

Galen College of Nursing is seeking a full-time Nursing Faculty member to educate and empower nursing students. The role emphasizes facilitating learning, curriculum development, and ongoing assessment aligned with PSLOs.

You will teach across classroom, lab, and clinical settings, engage in scholarship, and maintain current clinical knowledge to support student preparation for practice. Eligibility includes active RN licensure and an MSN.

Qualifications

• Active, current RN licensure in the applicable state.
• MSN degree required.

Responsibilities

• Creates an environment that facilitates learning and achieving desired student learning and program outcomes.
• Implements teaching strategies appropriate to learner needs and content.
• Helps students develop as nurses and model expected values and behaviors.
• Uses strategies to assess and evaluate student learning in classroom, lab, or clinical settings.
• Analyzes assessment data to inform continuous course improvement.
• Implements a curriculum with PSLOs to guide instruction and evaluate progress.
• Designs and implements program assessments for continuous quality improvement.
• Participates in professional development to improve faculty effectiveness.
• Maintains nursing practice knowledge to prepare students for contemporary practice.

• Other responsibilities as outlined by the state nursing board.
