Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions' Royal Megansett Nursing and Rehabilitation in Massachusetts seeks a skilled Cook to support a high-volume skilled nursing facility kitchen. You will follow standardized recipes, prepare meals across breakfast, lunch and dinner, plate dishes, and work with the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure smooth meal service.

This role emphasizes kitchen sanitation, inventory management, and flexible support for special events; weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

Experience in high-volume culinary operations.
Classically trained cook preferred.
Availability to work every other weekend is required.
Ability to follow standardized recipes.
Strong sanitation and food safety practices.

Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and portion meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner following standardized recipes.
Plate and garnish all cooked items for attractive presentation.
Act as liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
Maintain high kitchen sanitation standards before and after service.
Manage inventory, rotate stock, assist with purchasing, and support recipe development.
Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for events and facility functions.
