Job summary

Pima Medical Institute in Mesa, AZ is hiring a Registered Nurse - College Instructor (Full-Time). This role involves didactic and clinical instruction, supervising students during rotations, and guiding admissions and progression. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with no on-call duties.

You will teach and mentor NCLEX-ready nurses, maintain compliance with accreditation, and support curriculum development while benefiting from a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Arizona RN license in good standing (or Compact/Multi-State privilege).
• Minimum of three years of direct patient care as an RN.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Didactic & Clinical Instruction: Lead interactive classroom discussions in med-surg, nursing fundamentals, pharmacology, and pathophysiology using real-world cases.
• Clinical Supervision: Guide small student cohorts on hospital floors during clinical rotations with real-time feedback.
• Skills Lab Management: Oversee skills lab instruction, inventory, and student competency assessments.
• Academic Guidance: Provide counseling, track progress, and tutor to support NCLEX success.
• Applicant Engagement: Interview and counsel applicants, assist with admissions and progression.
• Curriculum Alignment: Align objectives and course outlines with State Board regulations.
• Compliance & Accreditation: Maintain student records and participate in accreditation activities.
