Job summary

Pima Medical Institute in Aurora, CO is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Practical Nursing program as a Full‑Time Classroom Instructor. You will teach theory, guide simulations, and help students become clinically ready and NCLEX‑PN prepared.

This on‑site, Monday–Friday role offers stable hours and opportunities to mentor new faculty while ensuring curriculum alignment with accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited Nursing Education Program.
• Three years of occupational (practical) nursing experience providing direct patient care.
• Current Colorado RN license and any other credential as required by laws.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and general computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom, skills-lab, and simulation-based learning experiences.
• Prepare and deliver lesson plans aligned with course syllabi and objectives.
• Collaborate with the Program Director to evaluate and enhance the program.
• Maintain student records and provide academic counseling to support progression.
• Manage skills lab inventory and readiness for student practice.
• Mentor new faculty and coordinate instruction with ANIP and clinical instructors.
• Ensure learning objectives transition from classroom to clinical environments.
• Participate in accreditation activities and NCLEX‑PN readiness coaching.
