Job summary

Pima Medical Institute is seeking a Part-Time Dental Hygiene Instructor to guide students in a CODA-accredited program. This daytime, classroom-focused role emphasizes mentoring and instruction, enabling you to transition clinical expertise into academia while maintaining your licensure.

The position offers an 8–12 hour per week schedule on-site, with opportunities for professional growth, ESOP participation, and ongoing development in a 100% employee-owned environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Program Graduate: Graduation from a CODA-accredited Dental Hygiene or Dental program.
• Clinical Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience as a Dental Hygienist or Dentist.
• Licensure: Current, active Texas state license to practice dental hygiene or dentistry, plus CPR certification.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel) and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Instructional Delivery & Student Mentorship: Deliver high-quality daily lesson plans and lectures in a classroom environment.
• Academic Monitoring: Track student progress and provide early intervention or tutoring for at-risk students.
• Curriculum Alignment: Reinforce dental science standards for licensure examinations.
• Compliance & Program Administration: Assist in accreditation reporting to maintain CODA standards.
• Administrative Integrity: Maintain attendance, grade books, and academic records per policies.
• Professional Feedback: Deliver evaluations to encourage student growth.
