Job summary
University of California - Irvine Health seeks a Nursing Educator to lead education initiatives across nursing and non-nursing staff. You will develop, implement and evaluate programs that support orientation, continued education and in-services within an acute care setting.
Under the Market Education Director, you will collaborate with nursing leadership to drive educational goals, contribute to councils, and advance patient care quality across departments.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Education or related specialty.
- 5 years nursing experience in an acute care setting.
- 3-5 years critical care experience.
- Current and Active California Board of Registered Nurse License (RN).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, develop, implement, facilitate, evaluate and revise educational programming for all levels of nursing personnel and non-nursing personnel as indicated or requested.
- Act as a key resource in the orientation and continuing education of nursing staff.
- Implement a comprehensive education program for assigned units following educational goals and visions.
- Contribute to organization through councils, committees and workgroups.
