Job summary

UC Irvine is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to oversee a small clinical group, coordinate clinical components, and ensure nursing students meet BRN guidelines and certification requirements. The role includes grading, feedback, and managing course schedules and simulations.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Nursing, a California RN license, and at least 1 year of relevant clinical experience; a Master's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Nursing education experience and ability to develop orientation materials
• Experience delivering clinical nursing education and training
• Knowledge of BRN guidelines and clinical competency standards

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical education for an assigned group (6–12 students) in collaboration with the Faculty of Record
• Grade assignments, provide timely feedback, and use FOR rubrics
• Manage learning activities, course schedule, and simulation activities
• Conduct student evaluations and remediation planning and follow-up
• Serve as primary contact for scheduling, assignments, and progress (80%)
• Participate in orientation/bootcamp/lab sessions and clinical faculty orientation (10% each)
