Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to design and implement education programs for nursing staff and lead orientation for new hires, ensuring ongoing competency and patient safety across assigned units. The educator will assess learning needs, track competencies, and collaborate with educators and CNS's in the Department of Nursing Quality, Research, and Education.

Working within UCI Health, you will model expert nursing practice, foster strong customer service, and support

Qualifications

RN license and a nursing specialty certification relevant to the unit.
Experience teaching or delivering in-service education.
Experience in an acute care setting and ED/Level I trauma context.
Familiarity with Title 22 and Joint Commission standards.
Strong customer service and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

Design and implement education programs for nurses.
Oversee orientation for new hires and assess ongoing learning needs.
Collaborate with Nursing Quality, Research and Education teams to develop education initiatives.
Serve as a clinical role model and mentor staff.
