Job summary

Del Rosa Villa Post Acute is seeking a Director of Staff Development to lead orientation, in-service education, and certification training for nursing assistants, ensuring regulatory compliance and high quality care.

The DSD will collaborate with the DON and Administrator, provide direct resident care, and coordinate education programs and drills to promote competency and staff development.

Qualifications

• RN license in state to practice nursing.
• BSN preferred for leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and participate in the recruiting and hiring of staff.
• Coordinate completion of employment-related documentation.
• Coordinate payroll and employee benefit programs.
• Relate positively to residents and families and collaborate with staff.
• Plan, conduct, and document required Fire/Internal Disaster drills.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times.
• Identify education needs from surveys and evaluations and develop training.
• Organize In-Service education programs and schedule.
• Maintain records of In-Services as required by regulations.
• Provide direct resident/patient care and ensure confidentiality.

Education

Registered Nurse (RN) license in state

BSN preferred
