Sunnyside Nursing and Post-Acute Care in Torrance, California seeks a Staff Developer/Clinical Trainer to advance nursing staff education and promote best practices. You will lead development activities focused on Licensed and Registered Nurses and leverage PCC to monitor outcomes.

The role requires a California LVN/RN license, 3+ years in a supervisory nursing role, and strong leadership and communication abilities. Training sessions may include flexible hours and occasional weekend duties.

Qualifications

Must have active California LVN or RN license and strong nursing practice knowledge.
Experience in staff development, training, or educational roles.
Minimum 3 years in a skilled nursing or long-term care supervision role.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, deliver, and evaluate staff development activities for nurses.
Develop educational materials and in-service training programs.
Monitor training effectiveness and mentor staff.
Collaborate with facility leadership to align training with goals.
Ensure compliance with state/federal nursing regulations.
Perform needs assessments and identify improvements in training.
Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
Report training progress to the Director of Staff Education or Chief Clinical Officer.
