Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
• Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• MA Registered Nurse License required.
• ACLS required.
• ACLS Instructor preferred.
• BLS required.
• Clinical nursing experience 3 - 5 years required.
• Clinical education experience 1-2 years preferred.
• Nursing leadership experience 1-2 years preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of clinical nursing care practices and principles.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families.
• Leadership abilities to provide guidance, mentorship, and education to nursing staff.
• Epic EHR experience and strong computer/technology skills required.
• Ability to stay updated on the latest advancements in nursing skills and patient care through continuous learning and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and evaluate educational sessions, workshops, and courses for nursing and other healthcare professionals.
• Conduct clinical competency assessments to evaluate the knowledge, skills, and performance of nursing staff.
• Coordinate preceptorship and mentorship programs for nurses and students, ensuring a supportive and effective learning experience.
• Assess the learning needs of nursing staff and develop or recommend continuing education programs to enhance their professional growth.
• Maintain accurate records of educational programs, attendance, and learner outcomes.
• Participates in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, including HRO rounds, to promote a culture of safety, and support the implementation of evidence-based practices.
