Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in nursing.
• Current unrestricted RN license in North Carolina (or eligibility for licensure before employment).
• Minimum of two (5) years of clinical nursing experience.
• Minimum of three (4) years of experience as a nurse educator.
• Ability to meet North Carolina Board of Nursing requirements for faculty teaching in a nursing program.
• Experience in higher education teaching, curriculum development, and student advisement.
• Demonstrated potential for research, scholarship, and external funding applications.
• A strong record of research and scholarly publications.
• A strong record in statistical analysis with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience

Responsibilities

• Areas of potential teaching include undergraduate programs; teaching in graduate programs; and other assignments as determined by the chair of the School of Nursing.
• Responsibilities include assisting the nursing faculty team in curriculum design, providing classroom and clinical instruction to students, advising undergraduate and graduate students, and participating in School of Nursing governance activities.
• Salary and rank are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
• Candidates should have academic experience appropriate for rank and a minimum of two years of clinical experience.
• All other duties as assigned.
