University of North Carolina Pembroke seeks an Assistant Professor in Nursing to contribute to undergraduate and graduate programs, engage in curriculum design, and deliver classroom and clinical instruction. The role includes advising students and participating in School of Nursing governance activities.

The MESON unit focuses on advancing nursing education to serve South Central North Carolina, emphasizing rural and underserved communities, scholarly activity, and collaboration with healthcare

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in nursing.
• Current unrestricted RN license in North Carolina (or eligibility for licensure before employment).
• Minimum of two (5) years of clinical nursing experience.
• Minimum of three (4) years of experience as a nurse educator.
• Ability to meet North Carolina Board of Nursing requirements for faculty teaching in a nursing program.
• Experience in higher education teaching, curriculum development, and student advisement.
• Demonstrated potential for research, scholarship, and external funding applications.
• A strong record of research and scholarly publications.
• A strong record in statistical analysis with a minimum of two (2) years' experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the nursing faculty team in curriculum design.
• Provide classroom and clinical instruction to students.
• Advise undergraduate and graduate students.
• Participate in School of Nursing governance activities.
