Job summary

Bowie State University seeks a Nursing Education Retention Coordinator and Data Analysis Interventionalist to lead data-driven improvements in nursing program outcomes. This grant-funded, contingent II role focuses on timely program completion, data display, and strategic reporting to support accreditation standards.

Responsibilities include dashboards, reports, and regular engagement with nursing faculty, advisors, and students to align retention goals with Title III activities and university

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in nursing, social, behavioral, or health sciences relevant to Title III Enhancing Undergraduate Nursing program.
• Experience with retention initiatives, strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, and proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and statistical software.
• Three years of higher education experience focused on assessment, retention, and student success. Strong data analytics and reporting with Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Gather, evaluate, and display data from student program assessments to track outcomes in the Nursing program, such as SLOs, completion rates, licensure exam success, and employment statistics.
• Partner with the Department of Nursing to manage initiatives related to Title III Activity Future Act.
• Design dashboards, generate reports, and build data visualizations that illustrate patterns and significant outcomes for faculty and stakeholders.
• Hold regular meetings with pre-nursing and nursing students to offer non-academic assistance and refer them to campus resources.
