Job summary

Sutter Health is seeking a nursing program leader at ABSMC-Summit Campus in Oakland. The role plans, coordinates and directs a clinical nursing program, ensuring quality, compliance and staff competency.

You will serve as a clinical and educational consultant to the nursing and medical staff, with occasional direct patient care. The position emphasizes education, performance improvement, and adherence to protocols, with a typical full-time schedule and a focus on excellent patient care and staff

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Master’s: APRN with geriatric focus (Nurse Practitioner or GNP).
RN in the state where care is provided; BLS for healthcare provider.
Experience in nursing theory, patient care, and privacy regulations.
Ability to lead education and competency development for staff.

Responsibilities

Plans, develops, coordinates and directs the operation of a clinical nursing program.
Oversees procedures adherence and performance improvement initiatives.
Ensures program quality, compliance and staff education/competency.
Serves as clinical/educational consultant to staff and management.
Provide direct patient care as needed on an irregular basis.
