Job summary

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute seeks a Professional Development Specialist (PDS I/II) to lead and evaluate educational programs that support the professional growth of nursing staff. You will interact daily with staff to address clinical issues, competency development, and mentoring while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Located in the Boston area, the PDS works with Clinical Practice Specialists and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• BSN is required for PDS I; MSN required for PDS II.
• Current RN license in MA and/or NH as job requires.
• 3 years of clinical nursing experience and 1 year of oncology experience.
• Professional certification required within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implement and evaluate educational programs for nursing staff.
• Mentor staff and coordinate orientation and competency activities.
• Collaborate with CPS and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care and staff development.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards in all education activities.
