Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program; BSN required.
• MSN or related Master’s Degree preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Michigan; CPR/BCLS certified.
• Specialty certification preferred or plans to pursue.
• One year of teaching experience with adult education principles.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and information related to educational needs.
• Analyzes issues, trends, and data to determine educational needs.
• Identifies target audience, objectives, and outcomes for each activity.
• Establishes plans with strategies, resources to achieve outcomes.
• Ensures planned educational activities are implemented.
• Conducts comprehensive evaluation of each educational activity.
• Coordinates educational initiatives and activities.
• Employs strategies to promote positive learning environments.
• Provides consultation to influence plans and change.
• Evaluates progress toward attainment of outcomes.
• Maintains current knowledge and competency in nursing development.
