Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Clinical Practice Specialist to support the Women’s and Children’s areas at CDH. The role drives quality clinical practice and professional development at the front-line, aligning with NM’s patient-first ethos.

The specialist leads education initiatives, supports staff in pursuing specialty certification, and collaborates with unit leadership to improve patient care and safety across the system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
• Master's in Science in Nursing or progress toward within 4 years is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements education opportunities for staff to improve clinical practice.
• Supports staff to seek/maintain specialty certification and monitors progress.
• Participates in reviews of unit/division dashboards and implements quality improvements.
• Leads inter-professional teams for unit/division level and hospital-wide clinical process improvement.
• Plans and evaluates safety training and updates unit-based policies and procedures.
• Provides input into staff evaluations related to clinical competence and rounds for coaching.
