Job summary

The Alabama Board Of Nursing seeks a Nurse 3- Nursing Consultant, Education, to perform consultative and administrative work, interpreting the Nursing Practice Act, and preparing reports, surveys, and program proposals.

You will work under the Team Leader for Nursing Education and the Director of Nursing with minimal supervision to support development, implementation and evaluation of rules, policies, and procedures in nursing education.

Qualifications

• RN license in Texas or eligible for licensure.
• Master's degree in nursing.
• Graduate level coursework in education, curriculum, instruction, teaching, or administration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct approval and pre-approval survey visits of nursing education programs and clinical affiliates.
• Prepare written reports with recommendations for approval status.
• Communicate with school faculty, administrators and students to ensure program compliance.
• Review data, curriculum materials and proposals for survey preparation and Board analysis.
