Job summary

State of Oklahoma, Oklahoma Board of Nursing, seeks a Nurse Education Consultant to regulate prelicensure nursing education and provide education related to nursing laws. This role interacts with city, state, and federal agencies and other entities to ensure compliance with nursing education regulations.

The position reports to the Deputy Executive Director, involves data collection/analysis, and supports strategic planning, board policy reviews, and advisory committee participation.

Qualifications

• Unencumbered, current Oklahoma RN license.
• Master’s degree in nursing; ten years RN experience with four years admin leadership in nursing education (baccalaureate-level or higher preferred).
• Current Oklahoma driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provides information and education on ONPA and Rules to nursing education programs, deans, staff, applicants, licensees and the public.
• Evaluates and consults with nursing education programs to ensure compliance with statutes and rules.
• Conducts surveys and reviews national accreditation reports and prepares Board reports.
