Job summary

Fortis College in Cincinnati is seeking an Assistant Dean of Nursing to provide leadership in planning, development, implementation and evaluation of the nursing program. This role supports community and health‑care system needs and fosters a culture of collegiality, well‑being, and professional development for students, faculty, and staff.

The Dean/Director represents the program to College administration, accreditation bodies, Education Affiliates Nursing Division, and local advisory

Qualifications

• Current active unencumbered RN or APRN license in Ohio (multistate privilege acceptable).
• Master’s Degree in Nursing (Doctoral degree required for Dean).
• At least five years of RN practice, with at least two years as a faculty member in nursing education.
• Minimum of one year of administrative or management experience.
• Competence with word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and email.
• Excellent written, oral communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to be a positive, supportive, enthusiastic role model.
• Successful completion of criminal background check, drug screening, immunizations, and CPR and HIPAA certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in planning, development, implementation and evaluation of the nursing program.
• Support program responsiveness to community and health‑care system needs.
• Represent the program to College/Campus administration, regulatory and accreditation bodies, and external constituencies.
