Job summary

MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham, MA, seeks a Nursing Educator to lead, develop, and coordinate nursing education programs across units. You will support orientation, ongoing competency, and professional growth for nursing staff, while contributing to education goals within the Tenet Healthcare network.

The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and collaboration with nursing leadership to improve clinical practice and patient care through education initiatives and evidence-based

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing or nursing education or related specialty.
• Licensure/Certification: Current state licenses and certifications (BLS, ACLS, NRP).
• Experience: 2 years of nursing experience in Perinatal Services.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage nursing education programs to support orientation, ongoing competency development, and professional growth of nursing staff in assigned units and clinics.
• Assess, develop, and revise educational programs to ensure compliance with Department of Nursing requirements, regulatory standards, and evidence-based nursing education practices.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to nurses, preceptors, and nurse residents to promote clinical excellence and professional development.
• Coordinate and deliver continuing education and specialty training programs, including in-services, job-specific curricula, Grand Rounds, and other learning opportunities.
• Support quality improvement and clinical practice initiatives by assisting with policy development, evaluating educational outcomes, and leading key projects such as Fetal Monitoring, Core Super-user Fairs, and Perinatal Designation/Certification.
