Job summary

Vanderbilt Health in Nashville seeks a Nursing Education Specialist to develop, implement, evaluate, and revise orientation programs, in-service trainings, workshops, and continuing education for staff in the Neonatal/Pediatric Transport Program. You will lead educational initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care and customer satisfaction.

You will serve on hospital committees, collaborate across departments, and mentor nursing staff while advancing practice standards.

Responsibilities

• Use a systematic process to enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practices.
• Establishes collegial partnerships contributing to the professional development of peers, students, colleagues and others.
• Integrates evidence-based practices into educational initiatives and activities.
• Maintains current knowledge and competency in nursing and professional development practice.
• Evaluates his/her own practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines.
