Job summary

Vanderbilt Health's Nursing Education program seeks a dedicated professional to develop, implement, and evaluate orientation, in-service training, workshops, and continuing education to meet staff education needs. The role leads educational initiatives to ensure quality patient care and customer satisfaction and participates on hospital committees.

The position supports nursing practice standards, acts as a resource within the VUMC community, and collaborates across departments.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in an accredited MSN program with a confirmed graduation date.
• Proof of completion will be required upon graduation.

Responsibilities

• Use a systematic process to enhance the quality and effectiveness of nursing practices.
• Establishes collegial partnerships contributing to the professional development of peers, students, colleagues and others.
• Integrates evidence-based practices into educational initiatives and activities.
• Maintains current knowledge and competency in nursing and professional development practice.
• Evaluates his/her own practice in relation to professional practice standards and guidelines.
