Job summary

Pima Medical Institute in Mesa, AZ seeks a full-time Registered Nurse Instructor to translate clinical expertise into academic leadership. You will lead clinical experiences, deliver didactic and lab instruction, mentor nursing students, and collaborate with faculty to uphold nursing education standards.

Ideal candidates will hold a BSN from an accredited program, be licensed as an RN in Arizona (or hold a multi-state Compact license), and have at least three years of direct patient care

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) from a program accredited/recognized by USDE or CHEA (Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred).
• Active, unencumbered Arizona RN license or valid multi-state Compact RN license with privilege to practice in Arizona.
• Minimum of three (3) years of direct patient care experience as an RN; currently working in an active clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Clinical & Didactic Instruction: deliver didactic and lab instruction.
• Clinical Supervision: instruct, guide, and supervise nursing students during clinical rotations, ensuring performance aligns with standards.
• Lab & Classroom Teaching: lead nursing lab practicals and deliver lectures per curriculum.
• Clinical Placement Coordination: arrange clinical site placements aligned to learning needs.
• Performance Evaluation: assess student progress and provide feedback with Academic Success Plans as needed.
• Student Retention: monitor attendance, maintain office hours, and tutor students.
• Administrative & Programmatic Support: support program development and annual curriculum updates.
• Program Alignment: contribute to mission, objectives, and curriculum updates.
• Faculty Collaboration: participate in meetings and work with ANIP and instructors to meet accreditation requirements.
• Education: BSN required; Master’s preferred.
• Licensure & Certification: RN license required.

Education

BSN from an agency recognized by USDE/CHEA

Arizona RN license or multi-state Compact RN license

Three years direct patient care experience as RN
