Arizona College of Nursing is seeking a qualified nursing educator to lead and evolve the nursing education program. The role includes curriculum design, simulation-based teaching in the lab, and evaluation of didactic and clinical experiences for students.

The candidate will teach classroom and clinical courses, support student progression, and collaborate with faculty to enhance learning outcomes. FERPA compliance and professional development are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree required; if not in nursing, must have a BSN and a graduate degree in a related discipline.
• State-licensed professional registered nurse with an unencumbered license or enhanced compact license relevant to the teaching location.
• Certified Nurse Educator certification and national certification in nursing specialty are preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a professional registered nurse providing direct patient care.
• Previous teaching experience in a registered nursing program at a college or university is preferred.
• Maintains professional competence through nursing practice, continuing education, conferences, and related activities.
• Subject to state BON/BRN/HEB regulations where the campus/student is located.

Responsabilités

• Develops, implements, teaches, and evaluates the nursing education program objectives.
• Designs, implements, teaches, evaluates, and revises the curriculum.
• Leads simulation learning experiences in the Nursing Lab.
• Teaches and evaluates students in the classroom; must teach at least 36 credits annually.
• Supports students’ progression and introduces them to the nursing role.
• Uses varied assessment tools to evaluate student learning and performance.
• Participates in curriculum design, evaluation, and revisions; mentors faculty, adjuncts, and students.
• Maintains FERPA compliance and protects student privacy.
