Job summary

Chamberlain University seeks a Visiting Professor on campus in North Carolina to lead nursing education through clinical teaching and supervision. You will plan clinical experiences, evaluate student performance, and provide feedback while staying current with clinical policies and expectations.

The role requires a master’s or doctoral degree in nursing and an unencumbered NC nursing license, with teaching or precepting experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered professional nursing license in North Carolina.
• At least two years professional instructional experience as a registered nurse.
• Teaching or precepting experience is preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements the College’s philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service.
• Plans clinical experiences and provides supervision and evaluation of nursing students' care.
• Evaluates student performance and provides documented feedback.
• Maintains current knowledge of agency/clinical policies and expectations.
• Develops and posts written clinical assignments aligned with students’ knowledge.
