Job summary
Covista seeks an experienced nurse educator to shape the next generation of healthcare providers through daytime, evening, and weekend classes in classroom, online, and clinical settings. You will teach, evaluate students, mentor colleagues, and participate in committees in alignment with Covista's mission.
The role involves leading clinical learning, collaborating with faculty and clinical partners, and engaging in scholarly activities.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing; PhD preferred where applicable.
- Current Georgia RN licensure or eligibility.
- At least 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Excellent communication and initiative.
- Experience with LMS, simulation equipment, and online platforms; AI familiarity is a plus.
- Ability to teach across classroom, online, and clinical settings.
Responsibilities
- Teach assigned nursing courses in classroom, online, clinical, lab, or simulation environments.
- Implement course curriculum and teaching materials; evaluate student performance.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to students and new faculty.
- Lead clinical learning or partner with faculty leading labs to ensure practice-readiness.
- Engage in scholarly activities related to teaching and nursing practice.
- Maintain up-to-date subject matter and adhere to policies for student evaluation.
