Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Specialist to support the Clinical and Professional Development/Colleague Education team. The role focuses on advancing nurse competence, improving professional practice, and promoting lifelong learning across the nursing staff in a college education setting.

The position requires active Iowa nursing licensure, MSN, and BLS plus a commitment to evidence-based care and shared governance.

Qualifications

• Active nursing license to practice in Iowa; MSN required.
• Experience and leadership in clinical and professional practice development preferred; certification in an appropriate specialty recommended.
• Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training within 6 months of hire.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every 2 years thereafter.
