Job summary

The Villa At Mountain View is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing Services (DON) to oversee the SNF nursing department in Dallas, TX. You will lead clinical operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive quality outcomes for residents.

The role requires strong SNF leadership, survey readiness, staffing management, and a track record of clinical excellence. On-site leadership and collaboration with the Administrator are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state-specific Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience as a DON or ADON in a Skilled Nursing Facility
• Strong knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations
• Experience with survey readiness, Plans of Correction (POCs), and quality improvement
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop nursing staff
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language

Responsibilities

• Provide overall clinical leadership to ensure high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and strong clinical outcomes
• Oversee, direct, and support nursing staff in the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care
• Oversee the comprehensive care planning process and ensure interdisciplinary coordination
• Uphold resident rights, including dignity, privacy, informed consent, and safety
• Ensure timely communication with physicians, families, and responsible parties regarding significant changes in condition
• Participate in pre-admission assessments and approve admissions in coordination with the Administrator
