Job summary

Cantex is seeking a Director of Nursing Services to lead the Nursing Department in our Skilled Nursing Facility in Dallas. The role emphasizes strategic nursing leadership, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate resident care.

The DON will drive clinical excellence, manage staffing, and coordinate with administrators to maintain survey readiness and strong outcomes across the facility.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience as a DON or ADON in a SNF.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.
• Experience with survey readiness, Plans of Correction (POCs), and quality improvement.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to coach, mentor, and develop nursing staff.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall clinical leadership to ensure high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and strong clinical outcomes.
• Oversee, direct, and support nursing staff in the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care.
• Oversee comprehensive care planning and ensure interdisciplinary coordination.
• Uphold resident rights, including dignity, privacy, informed consent, and safety.
• Ensure timely communication with physicians, families, and responsible parties regarding significant changes in condition.
• Participate in pre-admission assessments and approve admissions in coordination with the Administrator.
