Job summary

Defiance Health Care Center in Defiance, OH seeks a compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead resident care, supervise nursing staff, and ensure high quality, patient-centered care across our facility.

As a DON, you will develop care plans, oversee med administration, coordinate with healthcare professionals, and mentor team members while staying current with best practices.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license
• Two years supervisory experience preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' health needs and develop and implement care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes
• Communicate with patients and families to provide education and support
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure continuity of treatment
• Document patients' progress and outcomes using electronic medical records
• Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in nursing
• Participate in professional development opportunities to maintain and improve skills
• Assist with hands-on patient care as needed to support team
