Job summary

Concept Rehab & Engage Consulting in Cincinnati, OH seeks a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the nursing department, collaborate with facility leadership, and ensure compassionate, compliant resident care.

The ideal candidate is an experienced RN with Ohio licensure, strong leadership and communication skills, and a track record of improving clinical processes in skilled nursing or long-term care settings.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Ohio.
• Proven nursing leadership experience in skilled nursing or long-term care.
• DON experience preferred; experienced ADONs ready for their next leadership step are encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Commitment to resident dignity, safety, and quality of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to the nursing department
• Oversee daily nursing operations and resident care
• Partner with facility leadership to address clinical priorities
• Monitor quality indicators and identify opportunities for improvement
• Support accurate clinical documentation and care planning
• Assist with regulatory and survey readiness
• Coach, mentor, and develop nursing team members
• Promote effective communication between nursing, residents, families, and other departments
• Help establish staffing priorities and maintain appropriate nursing coverage
• Address clinical concerns promptly and professionally
• Encourage teamwork, accountability, and consistent standards of care
