Engage Consulting is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) in Cincinnati, OH. The role leads the nursing department, ensuring quality resident care and regulatory readiness, while collaborating with facility leadership to align clinical priorities.

The DON will balance people, clinical priorities, and operational responsibilities, mentoring staff and maintaining high standards of care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Ohio.
• Nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to the nursing department.
• Oversee daily nursing operations and resident care.
• Partner with facility leadership to address clinical priorities.
• Monitor quality indicators and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support accurate clinical documentation and care planning.
• Assist with regulatory and survey readiness.
• Coach, mentor, and develop nursing team members.
• Promote effective communication between nursing, residents, families, and other departments.
• Help establish staffing priorities and maintain appropriate nursing coverage.
• Address clinical concerns promptly and professionally.
• Encourage teamwork, accountability, and consistent standards of care.
