The ideal candidate holds an active Texas RN license, has proven leadership in long-term care, and demonstrates strong regulatory knowledge paired with excellent organizational and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license in good standing
- Proven leadership in long-term care or geriatric nursing
- Strong clinical skills with restorative care approach
- Knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards
- Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Responsibilities
- Oversee all nursing services in accordance with company, state, and federal guidelines
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance of nursing staff
- Step in to assist on the floor to ensure high-quality, consistent care
- Review payroll submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Monitor resident records for accuracy and proper documentation
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans
- Ensure nursing staff have timely access to equipment and supplies
- Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff to improve performance and outcomes
