Job summary

Lincoln Recovery in Illinois is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead nursing operations across residential and IOP/PHP programs. You will shape clinical practice, ensure regulatory excellence, and partner with clinical leadership to deliver client-centered care.

This senior role requires active RN licensure, a bachelor's degree in nursing, and strong knowledge of healthcare regulations. The DON will mentor teams, oversee care delivery, and drive quality improvements in a growing recovery

Qualifications

• Active RN license, with ability to practice in Illinois.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Working knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to complete background check, drug screen, and TB test.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the onsite nursing team, ensuring delivery of detox and residential medical services.
• Oversee implementation, documentation, and reporting of care activities, quality improvement initiatives, and compliance standards.
• Consult with providers on client health needs and contribute to diagnostic assessments and treatment planning.
• Maintain accurate, compliant medical records and review client charts daily.
• Manage medical supply inventory and ensure clinical spaces are well-equipped.
• Participate in discharge planning, interdisciplinary case reviews, and quality improvement processes.
• Communicate with clients and support systems about questions and care coordination.
• Provide direct client care, including medication administration, lab processing, education on prescribed medications, and group facilitation as needed.
