Job summary

Heritage Behavioral Health Center, Inc. is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead nursing operations across clinic, crisis, residential, and community sites in Decatur, IL.

This leadership role requires a BSN, 5+ years nursing experience with 2+ years in supervision, and a willingness to be on-call as needed. The DON will own day-to-day nursing operations, coach nursing leaders, and report to the Senior Director of Medical & Nursing Services, shaping care across integrated services and MAR.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required with current licensure.
• Minimum 5 years nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Preferred master’s degree and nursing leadership certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership to nursing managers and supervision of nursing leaders.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, competencies, and day-to-day operations.
• Ensure nursing practices meet standards and coordinate care across sites.
• Manage infection control, medication processes, and supply management.
• Support quality, compliance, and risk management across programs.
