Job summary

Arcadia-Care-Center is seeking a Nursing Services Director to lead the nursing department and ensure high-quality resident care. You will oversee policy development, regulatory compliance, budget management, and coordination with other resident services to sustain the facility's mission.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing nursing facilities.
• Ability to develop and maintain nursing policies and procedures.
• Experience in budgeting and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with health care professionals, consultants, government agencies and advocacy groups to support resident care and facility mission.
• Develop and maintain nursing policies and procedures in line with regulations and standards.
• Maintain knowledge of current state and federal regulations and facility policies.
• Review referrals to ensure facility can meet residents' needs.
• Monitor hospital readmission trends and implement reduction plans as required.
• Participate in annual facility assessments and quality improvement initiatives.
• Work with Infection Preventionist to run infection prevention and control programs.
• Provide fiscal oversight and management of the nursing department budget.
• Oversee staff development to ensure nursing staff have necessary tools and training.
• Assist in developing discharge planning procedures and ensure continuity of care.
• Develop organizational structure for nursing services and coordinate with other resident services.
• Maintain and update written job descriptions and facility policies for nursing staff.
• Oversee QA and performance improvement programs for nursing services.
